Vera

My beautiful mother in-law is dying.
The doctors say she only has about a day left to live.
I wish the world had more people like her.

She sees beauty in everything, wakes up every morning looking at the world through untarnished eyes. Never taking anything for granted, always smiling and dreaming, it was contagious. Seeing the world and its beauty everyday as if it was the first time she had ever seen it.
I wish you all could have met her, I am so blessed that I did.

I am so thankful that she taught her son about the beauty in life, to love in the unique way that he does. And how, thanks to her, he never wastes a single precious moment of enjoying and truly living life.

Thank you Vera, there are so many ways to describe who you are; your passion and curiosity for life and ability to create laughter will always be here, your soul never tainted or spoiled!
I will miss you so much.

Oh Annika, my heart and prayers are with you and your husband today. Angels are all around you, some you can see, others you have to feel in your soul. What earth releases, heaven embraces.

Thinking of you...

Annika,
I found you on Nicole's blog and wanted to share my condolences. Once I came to your page, I decided I liked you already because 1)You're Swedish, and I have two very dear Swedish friends (in Ronneby & Malmo); 2)You live in Andalucia! I lived in Sevilla for 2 years-a long time ago-, but it is still my favorite place on Earth.

I'm sorry you're losing such a fabulous woman, but at least you've been blessed with knowing her, which it seems you already understand. My heart is with you.
Besos!

Annika, I had to pop over again after reading your comment on my blog. First, have a safe trip to France. I'm sorry it's under such terrible circumstances.

I lived just outside Toulouse, east of the city in a village that the N113 passes through called Villefranche de Lauragais. We lived there when I was pregnant for my daughter. She was born in a small maternité in Castelnaudary. This summer, during our trip to France, we plan to travel to both cities where the kids were born, so we'll be in that area in June.

I hope the beauty of southern France eases the sadness in your heart, if only just a little bit.

((hugs)) Nicole
